During the 7 hours of babysitting last weekend, the grandkids passed on the juicy colds they had.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
I've spent the week feeling like my brains were coming out my nose.
Friday wasn't as achey as Tuesday through Thursday, and I didn't also get food poisoning like my firstborn did.
She's tired of drama (none of it hers) and I'm tired of feeling bitter about a lot of things (none of them recent). And that's about as coherent as our thoughts are at the moment.
She did check and the final soccer game is the same time and place as the first one I knew about, so I don't need to change my May 9 chiropractic appointment.
The abstract submission site for the AHA Annual Scientific Sessions is open. I have already entered three of the recycles. There might be three or four new ones - I hope I don't get them all the day before the deadline.
We also got a paper submitted. I hope it gets a good review.
By Monday, I will be fine, I'm sure.
Babysat for the soccer game on Saturday, since the grandson was still croaking when he tried to talk. Around lunchtime, he wanted a sandwich so I made him one - not long afterward, I didn't see him sitting at the table and when I went to look, he was zonked out on the bench. Eventually, he woke up long enough to go upstairs and climb into his mother's bed. He was still asleep when they got home.
I need groceries, but I'm not sure I want to bother going anywhere.
By Monday, I will be fine, I'm sure.
