Why is it that I need to turn to an
Argentinian Newspaper to learn that the US had the highest inflation rate in over 3 years this May.
The article basically says that the cost of living rose .6% in May, due in large part to the rising energy costs. It also says that the Consumer Price Index rose .6%. Again, most of this due to the 8.1% rise in gas prices. The stated the source as being the Department of Labor. My translated interpretation may not be too great here, not so much because of the language, but moreso because I have no idea what that stuff means ;p.
I just think it's odd, and sad, that I haven't heard about this yet from the US media. I even went to CNN.com specifically looking for an article about it and found nothing. sigh...
