For as long as I can remember I've written the Tuesday Top Comments, and as a result I try to keep my Tuesday evenings clear. Not so tonight. I had to swap my Monday Swim Taxi (Tm) for tonight thanks to a meeting that had taken four of us a solid MONTH to find a time that worked. The end result of which was getting home at 8:50pm Eastern.

But I know you, the Top Comments community - you're here for the wealth of great comment nominations, the Top Mojo lists, and the witty banter in the comments...

I'll give you a bit of appropriately wonderful music to get you started on a conversational topic. I figure the opening question is "why the heck did brillig choose this one and NOT the Bowie/Queen version?"

And now a word from our sponsor:

Here at Top Comments we round up some of the site's best, funniest, most mojo'd and most informative commentary. We depend on your  help with talent spotting. If you see a comment that deserves recognition, please send it to topcomments at gmail by 9:45pm Eastern. Please please please include a few words about why you sent it in as well as your user name (even if you think we know it already :-)), so we can credit you with the find!

From AnnieR:

blueoasis' comment in slinkerwink's This Is The Kind Of Discrimination I've Faced is my nonination tonite.

From JanF:

renzo capetti captured the essence of Dkos 4 with this comment in jotterville.

From watercarrier4diogenes:

Here's a KO exchange worthy of TC in this three comment sequence in Its Official: Olbermann to Current TV, beginning with this from the diarist, Vita Brevis.

From Yours Truly, brillig:

Liberal Granny's Swastika on my door - Documenting Hatred contained many excellent comments, but this one by luvsathoroughbred caught my eye.

In David Waldman's FP story Congress and health care. Just another bunch of "employees"?, pat of butter in a sea of grits educates her family member (and government employee). The comment thread is interesting too.

Top Mojo tonight brought to you via the mojo-to-excel magic of cskendrick and sardonyx:

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
